One of the best ways to utilize social media is a create a campaign. This will get followers involved and ultimately spread word of your business. Sometimes its hard to come up with ideas of our own so it can be good to look at what the big businesses are doing and put your own spin on it!

My Instagram campaign
#myinstagramlogo

This campaign was started by a photographer who was coming up with creative ways to recreate the Instagram logo and challenged others to do the same. When Instagram updated the logo in 2016 they rebooted the campaign. Although it should be noted that fans were outright appalled by the new logo. The good news is that the campaign did get people involved and arguable won people over. From a branding stand point, it further ingrained the logo into peoples minds in terms of the colors, and shape.

Dunkin Donuts
#mydunkin

This campaign called for customers to share their experiences online with the hashtag #mydunkin. The hashtag causes for a genuine sharing of the brand. Not only did it cause customers to promote the treats served at Dunkin' Donuts, but it gave DD free marketing research into their customers and how they enjoy their coffee. This insight could be used to help develop the brands campaigns in the future.

Doritos
#crashthesuperbowl

This campaign called for user generated content about why people love Doritos. The winner's commercial was aired during the Superbowl and they were awarded prizes. So Doritos did have to pay the hefty fee for the commercial time slot, but did not have to pay to write, create, and produce the commercial. Not only that but those who participated but didn't win still posted and shared their videos online. Essentially Doritos came up with a brilliant way to gain maximum exposure!

I hope these few examples sparked some creativity in you and motivated you to create one for your own social media! Share this blog and comment below what campaigns you've come up with!
